Hurricane Ian may moves to Category 3

Ian would move towards the Gulf of Mexico today and may become a Category 4 hurricane in between 24hrs with a wind speed of 130 mph.

Then it will move towards Florida's west coast on Wednesday into Thursday.

Hundreds of thousands of Floridians have to face a mandatory evacuation process.

As the NHC expanded the hurricane warning along more than 150 miles of the state's Gulf Coast.

With gusty winds, parts of Central Florida could see 12-16 inches of rain with 2 feet possible in some isolated areas, the NHC said.

“This storm has the potential to strengthen into a major hurricane and we encourage all Floridians to make their preparations,” DeSantis said in a statement.
