They meet twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and there are actors who bring in a scene that they’re working on.
There are always two scenes for each session — and they do the scene and then they tell what they’re working on.
Sometimes it could be they’re trying to realize the whole scene; sometimes they’re preparing for a particular role.
Very often if I’m preparing for a difficult role, I’ll bring some kind of exercise in.
Sometimes they’ll just be working on a personal problem they have as an actor. For instance, relaxation.
It could be any kind of personal problem or any aim. After the scene is over, they tell the moderator.
When Kazan set up the studio, he said he wanted it to be a safe place for actors to develop their craft. , that doesn't change, but let's continue.
